Layout & Navigation
Ironspire uses a three-panel layout: left sidebar, main content area, and right sidebar. All panels are resizable.
Panel layout
- Left sidebar: default 11% width, minimum 8%. Holds file tree, agents, and other sections.
- Main content: fills remaining space. Shows the active chat or editor.
- Right sidebar: default 12% width. Holds terminals, status, and monitoring sections.
Sidebar toggles
- Ctrl+B: toggle left sidebar
- Ctrl+\: toggle right sidebar
The right sidebar auto-collapses when all sections are removed and auto-expands when a section is added back.
Draggable sections
Five sections can be dragged between sidebars: File Tree, Panels, Agents, Terminals, and Status. Grab a section header and drop it in either sidebar to rearrange your workspace.
The right sidebar's Progress Panel also hosts the Git Intelligence panel, which surfaces commit activity, file conflict detection, and repository health insights for the active project.
Agent tabs
The tab bar across the top of the main content area shows your open agents.
- Drag tabs to reorder
- Each tab is colour-coded to match the agent
- Status indicators show whether the agent is running, idle, or crashed
- Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+9 to jump to a specific tab
Layout reset
If your layout gets into an odd state, use View > Reset Layout from the menu bar. This resets panel widths to defaults and clears any custom section assignments.
You can hide both sidebars for a distraction-free chat view. Press Ctrl+B and Ctrl+\ to toggle them off.
