A note on Windows SmartScreen

Windows may show a security prompt when you first install Ironspire. Click “More info” then “Run anyway” to proceed.

The code signing landscape is currently hostile to independent developers. Since 2023, certificate authorities require cloud-hosted hardware keys with expensive monthly subscriptions, and Microsoft’s own Trusted Signing service is still rolling out to individual developers outside North America. We are working to get Ironspire properly signed as soon as these services become available to us.
