Auto-Updates
Ironspire checks for updates automatically using GitHub Releases and electron-updater. No manual downloads needed after the initial install.
Update checks
The first check runs 5 seconds after app startup, then every 4 hours while the app is open. You can also trigger a manual check from the menu.
Install modes
When an update is available, Ironspire offers three install modes to avoid interrupting your work:

| Guarded | Waits until all agents are idle before installing |
| Force | Stops all running agents immediately, then installs |
| Deferred | Watches agents and installs once they finish naturally |
What's New modal
After an update installs and the app restarts, a What's New modal appears showing the changelog for the new version. This only shows once per version.
Download progress
While an update is downloading, progress is tracked and displayed so you know how far along it is.
Dismissing updates
If you are not ready to update, dismiss the update banner. The app will remind you again on the next check cycle.
Guarded mode is the default and safest option. It ensures no agent work is interrupted by the update.
